October Meeting Recap: The Power of Talk

On October 15, Kitty Kolding, CEO of House Party, presented her company’s concept based on perhaps the oldest marketing technique, word of mouth. In her presentation, Kitty discussed how major brands have been able to successfully market their products through house parties. These house parties are held in thousands of households throughout the country, and hosted by everyday consumers based on a particular product theme.

Kitty provided detailed explanations about how hosts are picked, what goes into planning these events, what occurs in the days leading up to the parties, and what are expected of the hosts.
