The Seven Deadly Sins of Marketing and Sales
Expert Shares Tips for Building Revenue at Triangle AMA Luncheon
Raleigh, NC – January 24, 2008 – Many companies throughout the Triangle are missing out on revenue because they are unaware of critical elements that are falling through the cracks. Marketing and sales are essential to generating revenue and building profits. However, they sometimes forget that the customer is the key factor in closing the deal.
“To be more sales effective and improve demand generation,” says Lisa Dennis, President of Knowledge Associates, “marketing and sales need to focus on the customer in an integrated fashion. Organizations need to readjust their attitudes and commitments to actually listen and develop the right solution for the customer.”
Dennis will share her “Seven Deadly Sins of Marketing and Sales” on February 21 at the Triangle American Marketing Association luncheon. The presentation will define the most critical elements necessary to achieve revenue growth and profitability, while explaining the seven most frequent mistakes made by marketing and sales.
Attendees will also learn how to create value propositions that hook customers, the risk of “premature proposal,” the reality of sales process, and more of Dennis’ observations from her 20+ years of marketing and sales experience.
Dennis has worked with companies such as GTE Internetworking, Akamai, Quaker Fabric Corporation, IBM, EDS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Pairing hands-on marketing and selling of information and high technology products and services, with end-user system enhancement and design experience for marketing and sales applications, she understands what the customer imperative needs to be for communicating information about products and services to varied audiences.
The Triangle AMA Luncheon takes place on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Brier Creek Country Club (9400 Club Hill Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617). Cost is $25 for AMA members and $35 for non-members.
