February’s Triangle AMA meeting really surprised me. I went in with low expectations to hear, Lisa Dennis, President of Knowledgence Associates, speak on a topic that we’ve all heard or read about over and over again (the most frequent mistakes/sins made by sales and marketing organizations.) As I looked at my watch, it was a little past 1:35 pm and not one person had stood up to leave. There were no conversations going on in the background, and time had flown by because Mrs. Dennis was an excellent presenter whose examples and experiences hit home with many of the marketing professionals in the audience.

While I was not happy to discover that I was guilty of 2 or 3 sins, I was happy that I had taken 2 1/2 hours off from work to learn how to be more successful in my job and perhaps, my career. Like many of you, my “time is money,” and I don’t like to waste it. I hope all our Triangle AMA members will have this same learning experience at one of our upcoming meetings or marketing boot camps.

Our programming committee, lead by Linda Lindgren, has done an excellent job lining up some great speakers who present timely topics. On March 20th, we’ll hear from Tom Lowry, Regional Technology Manager at Google. This luncheon is sure to sell-out! You can find a listing of all upcoming events on our web site.
