Expert in Multicultural Marketing to Present at Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association

Raleigh, NC - August 28, 2007 – The Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association is pleased to welcome featured guest speaker and multicultural marketing guru Alex Camacho on September 20, 2007 at the Brier Creek Golf Club in Cary, NC from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Multicultural marketing is no longer about simply knowing the demographics of ethnic markets. Authentic connection is the key to establishing and maintaining relationships with multicultural consumers and the key to that connection is understanding and integrating cultural, life-stage and personal relevancy. Alex Camacho, Director, Multicultural MONITOR Consulting at Yankelovich will provide you with multicultural consumer insights found and confirmed in Yankelovich's latest Multicultural Marketing Study. Alex will also explain how to use these insights to develop an effective marketing strategy that resonates with your multicultural consumer.

Through his personal approach, integrated sense of the culture and utilization of multivariate data analyses, structural equations, econometrics, and in-depth interviews, among other techniques, Camacho exemplifies a complete understanding of ethnic markets.  He has had numerous articles published on the subject and frequently presents his research at conferences, seminars and corporations.   In the last 17 years, he has managed, developed, implemented, and supervised market research studies for several major corporations and Fortune 500 companies, including The Coca-Cola Company, Anheuser-Busch, Maritz, AOL Time Warner, and SPSS among others.  Camacho has worked as a marketing consultant for several years while completing his Ph.D. coursework in Business Administration (Marketing) at the University of Georgia.

The Triangle AMA Luncheon takes place on September 20, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Briar Creek Country Club (9400 Club Hill Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617).  Cost is $25 for AMA members and $35 for non-members. Learn more and register at:  www.triangleama.org
