News Release Triangle AMA Wins Recognition in National Competition

The American Marketing Association bestows honors on the Triangle Chapter of North Carolina

Raleigh, NC, October 5, 2009 - - The Triangle AMA Chapter (www.triangleama.org) announced today that it has received a Special Merit Award from the organization’s international headquarters. The AMA’s annual Chapter Excellence Awards program highlights exceptional performance among the organization’s 75 professional chapters across the U.S. and Canada. The Special Merit Award for Leadership recognizes the Triangle Chapter of the AMA for excellent management by its Board of Directors. In winning this award, the chapter is recognized as a leader in volunteer and financial management, as well as community outreach efforts.

“As a Special Merit winner, we feel great responsibility, not only to our own members, but to the marketing community as a whole in the Triangle area,” commented Mark Doggett, 2008-09 Chapter President. “It is our job to provide excellent programming and networking opportunities for our members and guests to elevate the prestige and credibility of the marketing profession in our area.
