The PR committee needs strong writers/communicators who have some public relations experience. This exciting role supports the chapter by drafting news releases, pitching local media and helping to create a positive "buzz" about the chapter across the Triangle. volunteer@triangleama.org

If you're interested in meeting leaders in area organizations, learning about new businesses, and creating relationships between them and the Triangle AMA then the Sponsorship Committee is for you! You don't have to be a salesperson to work on this committee - the AMA is an established and respected non-profit organization that sells itself. Tasks include representing the Triangle AMA to local businesses and organizations, determining mutually beneficial marketing plans, targeting companies for potential sponsorships, and ensuring our existing Sponsors' satisfaction.  volunteer@triangleama.org

The Triangle AMA is partnering with the NC Center for Nonprofits to offer marketing expertise to nonprofits who need it. Nonprofits who express a need would be matched with chapter member volunteers. Volunteers will work with Center staff and Nonprofit Coordinator to make this collaborative effort a success. Possible opportunity to also include college students to assist with projects. volunteer@triangleama.org

Our membership is growing by leaps and bounds! Help us stay on this upward trend by getting new members involved. Send emails and/or make phone calls to new members. Greet new members and encourage them to bring friends and colleagues to AMA events.  Assist VP Membership with new member orientation at meetings and help create membership drive materials. volunteer@triangleama.org

We were ranked in the top 15 nationally in 2004 for Membership Retention! Help design retention drives to compel members to renew within two months of expiry. Conduct surveys to obtain valuable feedback. Remind existing members about the dozens of AMA membership benefits.  Recognize long-term AMA members. volunteer@triangleama.org

The Newsletter/Social Media Committee needs writers and editors for articles, summaries of Chapter events and sponsor highlights for the Triangle AMA's Newsletter and blog, Twitter feed and other social networking sites.  You'll work with our Sponsors, attend speaker events and contribute articles on marketing related topics, find interesting marketing news to Tweet and assist with media production of upcoming speaker podcasts. volunteer@triangleama.org

The Hospitality Committee needs coordinators to help plan activities for the monthly educational luncheons. This includes: planning interactive, networking activities and possibly overseeing those activities at the monthly educational luncheons when VP, Hospitality cannot be present; identifying prizes to be given out to winning teams/individuals; and lining up greeters to welcome members at events. volunteer@triangleama.org

The Programming Committee needs coordinators to set the direction and raise the profile of the AMA by participating in the process of selecting our monthly speakers.
