News Release Expert Marketing Panel Shares Business Survival Tips at Luncheon Event

Raleigh, NC, March 2, 2009 – As many companies throughout the Triangle are cutting costs to stay in business, they also need to be paying close attention to their marketing strategies, according to three local business executives. During the Triangle American Marketing Association’s March 19 luncheon event, three of the Triangle’s top CMOs will share their experiences on how they are driving bottom-line results during one of the toughest economic downturns in decades.
Chris Kuehn, CMO at Golden Corral, Millie Tan, CMO at Quintiles and Stan Hull, VP of North America at GlaxoSmithKline will share insights and takeaways to help local marketers stay focused on what matters most and how to effectively market an organization in these difficult times.

The first panelist, Mr. Kuehn is responsible for all marketing and food and beverage functions at Golden Corral. His role includes advertising, media, calendar planning, in-store merchandising, test marketing, consumer research, sales promotions and the food and beverage function, including new product development and menu development.
At Quintiles Transnational, Ms. Tan is responsible for marketing strategy, corporate and business line brand strategy, positioning, support of new product development, marketing analysis and go-to-market plans, marketing communications, and market research.
The third panelist, Mr. Hull, is responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts of the business division at GlaxoSmithKline as well as representing the company in external activities. He also currently serves as a Director on the Board of the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine Foundation and serves as a board member for the American Lung Association of North Carolina.
