With unemployment running high and the economic downturn, the number of people needing clothing is expected to dramatically increase. That is why Triangle AMA has chosen to provide support to Dignity U Wear (www.dignityuwear.org), a national nonprofit that provides brand new clothing to nonprofits across the US. In the Triangle, recipient agencies include Durham Crisis Center (www.durhamcrisisresponse.org), TROSA (www.TROSAinc.org), Oak Ranch (www.oakranch.org) and the Healing Place (www.hpowc.org). We encourage all Triangle AMA members to get involved in some way.

How can you give back?

-Be a committee member! - A committee of dedicated volunteers meets monthly to brainstorm and implement ideas for promoting Dignity U Wear's fundraisers and activities.  Join us and provide your creative ideas to boost Dignity U Wear’s efforts. We welcome graphic designers, marketers, PR specialists and fundraisers -- and really anyone who wants to get involved, make a difference and have some fun! Activities could include Christmas gift wrap, online silent auction, "undie Sunday" underwear drive, and more. Email mmccaslin@nc.rr.com for more information.

-Join the Facebook Group! - Visit http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=31341159929&ref=ts to connect with other members and help spread the word about events. Invite all your friends to join as well! The more people in the group, the more people we can inform about upcoming fundraisers.

-Shop Nov. 19th! - Stein Mart, Dignity U Wear’s largest sponsor will hold a fundraiser on Wednesday, November 19th. All those who donate just $5 to Dignity U Wear will receive 10% off purchases in the store.  Download the PDF at the bottom of this page for more details.

-Spread the word! - When event notices and information are sent to you, please forward them on to your contacts. Let’s ensure the entire Raleigh / Durham area knows about this great cause!
