Karen is President of Capstrat, a communications agency providing marketing communications, public relations, public affairs and Interactive communications services to organizations in health care, technology, energy and professional services. Karen oversees day-to-day operations for the firm.

A 25-year agency veteran, Karen was previously Managing Director at FGI and Vice President, Associate Media Director at McKinney.

She has served on the Triangle AMA board as Vice President-Sponsorships and President-Elect. Other community involvements include Wake Education Partners, NCBIO and Council of PR Firms. Karen also serves at a guest lecturer at area colleges and universities.

Karen earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
